Itinerary

Cape Town, South Africa

Friday March 17, Saturday March 18

Watched over by the iconic flat-topped Table Mountain, Cape Town spreads across an endlessly blue coastline where mountain scenery, multiculturalism, and ocean charm combine. The cable car to the summit at 3,500 feet reveals panoramic vistas of the city rolling toward the sea, while Boulders Beach shelters a colony of African penguins. The Cape of Good Hope marks the southern tip of Africa, and Robben Island offers a visceral living history lesson told by a former prisoner.

Mossel Bay, South Africa

Sunday March 19

Halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, Mossel Bay enjoys the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and the pristine sands of Santos Beach. Beyond its celebrated coastline, the town offers shark cage diving, wreck diving, and the Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex — marking the spot where the Portuguese explorer first anchored off the South African coast in 1488.

Port Elizabeth, South Africa

Monday March 20, Tueday March 21

Nelson Mandela Bay — Port Elizabeth — is known as the friendly city, its long beachfront backed by the surf-friendly waters of the Indian Ocean. Route 67, a public art trail of 67 works honouring Mandela's 67 years of service, winds through the revitalised city centre, while the Addo Elephant National Park lies just an hour away.

Day at sea

Wednesday March 22

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Richards Bay, South Africa

Thuday March 23

Richards Bay, on KwaZulu-Natal's north coast, is Africa's deepest harbour and the gateway to Zululand. The 30-square-kilometre lagoon forms the heart of a reserve system that includes the iSimangaliso Wetland Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site supporting hippos, crocodiles, leatherback turtles, and one of Africa's most important estuarine ecosystems.

Pointe des Galets, Reunion

Tueday March 28

Réunion's port of Pointe des Galets opens onto an island of volcanic landscapes and vanilla plantations. It also gives access to one of the Indian Ocean's most dramatic interiors — the Cirque de Cilaos, ringed by peaks exceeding 3,000 metres. Weekly markets fill with island produce, and Boucan Canot beach offers safe swimming in the surf that pounds this extraordinary French overseas territory.

Port Louis, Mauritius

Wednesday March 29 - Thursday March 30

Port Louis is the capital of Mauritius — a volcanic island approximately 10 million years old, surrounded by one of the largest unbroken coral reef systems on Earth. The city's Caudan Waterfront, the Citadelle, and the central market anchor a port of European and Creole culture, while the island's remarkable interior of volcanic craters and endemic forests extends into the mountains.

Mahe, Seychelles

Sunday April 02

Mahe is the largest of the Seychelles' 115 islands, with 68 pristine beaches and the towering peaks of Morne Seychellois National Park covering over 20% of the island. The island was first explored by Frenchman Lazare Picault in 1742 and named after Vicomte Moreau de Sechelles, with the first settlers arriving in 1770. The ultra-rare Seychelles Scops-owl is among the endemic species found in the national park.
